SOLVEX® Revision Knee Prosthesis System

The SOLVEX® Revision Knee Prosthesis System is a comprehensive modular solution developed for complex knee revision surgeries. It offers a broad array of interchangeable components, allowing surgeons to address various anatomical challenges and levels of bone loss with precision and flexibility.

Key Components

Femoral Component

  • Available in multiple sizes and lengths to accommodate a wide range of femoral bone defects.

  • Manufactured from high-strength, biocompatible Cobalt-Chromium-Molybdenum (CoCrMo) alloy for long-term mechanical integrity and optimal load distribution.

  • Optional stem extensions are available to provide enhanced diaphyseal fixation in cases of compromised metaphyseal support.

Tibial Component

  • Features a modular baseplate that can be combined with various augmentation options, such as metal wedges and blocks, to address extensive tibial bone loss.

  • Incorporates a rotating platform design that facilitates physiological motion and minimizes torsional stress on the implant–bone interface.

  • Stemmed tibial options are available to enhance fixation stability in revision scenarios.

Patellar Component

  • Constructed from highly durable ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), providing a low-friction articulating surface with the femoral component.

  • Offered in a range of sizes and thicknesses to ensure optimal tracking and alignment of the extensor mechanism.

Modular Augments

  • Femoral and Tibial Augments: Supplied in varying thicknesses (e.g., 5 mm, 10 mm) to fill osseous voids and support implant alignment.

  • Distal and Posterior Femoral Augments: Specifically designed to restore the femoral joint line and maintain flexion-extension balance in cases of severe bone loss.

  • Tibial Wedges and Blocks: Engineered to reconstruct the proximal tibial surface and ensure stable seating of the tibial tray.

Stem Extensions

  • Available for both femoral and tibial components. These intramedullary extensions provide axial and rotational stability by anchoring the prosthesis deeper within the bone canal—crucial in revision procedures with extensive bone compromise.

Articular Insert

  • Fabricated from wear-resistant UHMWPE, the insert acts as the bearing surface between femoral and tibial components.

  • Available in multiple thicknesses (e.g., 9 mm, 12 mm) to accommodate joint space restoration and achieve optimal ligamentous tension.
